The Elks Veterans Services Committee, in coordination with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs - Manila Office (VA) and the Veterans of Foreign Wars - Department of Pacific Areas (VFW), will be hosting a Veterans International Forum at the Manila Elks Lodge Heritage Room on August 24, 2019 at 12:00 to 3:00 PM.

The Committee has set up this event as a platform to reach out to all U.S. veterans and their families in the Philippines, active service members who are planning to retire in the Philippines, and active service members who are interested in future programs and initiatives of the VA and VFW. It is also open to other groups that support veterans as well.

The Forum will start with welcome remarks by Committee president Aaron Key and Elks Veterans Initiatives chairman Ed Pooley. They will talk a little bit about the veteran programs and initiatives that they have set up to help veterans and, even, active service members alike. A question and answer session with Tracey Betts (Director) and Kevin McAllister (Assistant Director) of the VA's Manila Regional Office & Outpatient Clinic will follow. They will discuss about what medical assistance their office can provide to veterans. After a short refreshment break, Kevin Mitchell (Junior Vice Commander) and John Gilbert (Past Commander) of the VFW Department of Pacific Areas will also lead a question and answer session by engaging guests on key issues affecting veterans. Lunch is served to all delegates and guests.

Individual discussions with the organization counselors is encouraged during the event.

There is NO entrance fee and dress code is CASUAL.
